Prince Mumba, 3 others exit Arthur Davies

ZAMBIA’S Super League football champions Power Dynamos have off loaded four more key players, among them club captain Aaron Katebe.

Also leaving Arthur Davies stadium with Katebe is midfielder and vice-captain Prince Mumba and strikers Musonda Kapembwa and Austin Muwowo.

The latest departures announced on Tuesday, bring to six the number of key players leaving the champion club after top Zambian league scorer Moses Shuma trekked to South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side AmaZulu FC and midfielder Brian Masanyinga to join the Zambia Police Service as a recruit constable.

Katebe, joined the club in 2022 and leaves after the expiry of his contract leaving a legacy of dedication and leadership having served Power as club captain.

Kapembwa, who joined Power in 2025 and Muwowo, who became part of the club in 2023, will also depart following the conclusion of their respective contracts.

Vice-captain Mumba, who joined the club in 2024, leaves to pursue a new opportunity with an unnamed club in Asia.

Power Dynamos Sports Limited Chief Executive Officer, Gibson Chaloba confirmed the departure of the four key players which comes just days after top Zambian league scorer Shuma left to join South African Premier Soccer League side Amazulu.

Meanwhile, ‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderers have signed Congolese attacking midfielder Menayame Ndombe Vingil on a two years and six months permanent deal.

The 20-year-old joins “Abena Milambo” from Marine Football Club of Rwanda, where he spent last season.

Born on July 20, 2005, Vingil is a product of legendary Congolese club DC Motema Pembe and operates primarily as an attacking midfielder, with the versatility to also play as a central midfielder or inverted winger.

Vingil is dual footed, very comfortable with both feet.

He enjoyed an outstanding season with Marine FC, featuring in 30 matches and contributing 10 goals with 18 assists.

Upon signing and moving to Shinde stadium, Vingil said: “I am very happy to join Mufulira Wanderers Football Club. It’s a new challenge for me and I am motivated to help the team achieve its objectives. I will give everything for the badge and the fans.”

Wanderers acting Chief Executive Officer Evans Chiyanta was hoping Vingil will adapt quickly and help the club with his creativity.
