…Forest Rangers snatch coach Ronald Mukosha from Mutondo Stars
By BENEDICT TEMBO
FOREST Rangers have intensified their ambition for promotion to the elite Super League, hiring football tactician Ronald Mukosha for the task.
Mukosha joins the National Division One strugglers on a two-year contract from Mutondo Stars.
Before accepting to move to “Fole Malembe,” Mukosha transformed Mutondo into a youthful and fearful ball playing MTN Super League giant slaying team.
Mukosha, who started his coaching career with Geocurves Academy in 2009 takes a wealth of technical expertise and proven leadership that Forest management believe will strengthen the ‘Big League’ aspirations at Dola Hill in Ndola.
He has previously coached Kalulushi Modern Stars from Division One to the MTN Super League.
Mukosha, 50, holds the record of being the first coach to take Lumwana Radiants to the Super League.
He then moved to Lime Hotspur, then Lusaka Dynamos and Power Dynamos under Gaston Mutobo who was replaced by Perry Mutapa.
At Green Eagles and Nchanga Rangers, Mukosha deputised Aggrey Chiyangi.
He returned to Eagles where he was Alex Namazaba’s assistant coach.
Chris Kabamba, Forest Rangers Media officer confirmed the club had settled for Mukosha to realise the dream of top league football returning to Dola Hill next season.
Kabamba said the club was confident that Mukosha’s experience and leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of Forest.
Forest also announced the departure of coach Boyd Mulwanda following the conclusion of his contract.
Mulwanda joined Forest in the second round of the 2026–2027 season from Nchanga Rangers where he was head coach George Lwandamina’s right hand man.
Ends.
