LOVE 40’s 2026 event to shape the future of Zambian tennis

LOVE 40, a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering Zambian youth through tennis, has announced a trio of landmark events in partnership with the Zambia Tennis Association (ZTA).

The initiative is designed to strengthen grassroots tennis development by focusing on coach education and providing elite competition for junior players.

The programme begins with the Love 40 Coaches Interaction – Lusaka Edition this Saturday, this year at Lusaka Tennis Club, followed by the Copperbelt Edition on August 8 at Nkana Tennis Club.

Each session will bring together 15 young coaches for practical and classroom-based training led by experienced ITF-qualified tutors.

The calendar culminates with the Love 40 Top 8 Junior Tennis Championships, scheduled for August 21–23, 2026 at Ndola Tennis Club.

The tournament will showcase the country’s top-ranked juniors across six age categories: Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, Under-18, and Under-20.

It promises to be a vibrant display of emerging talent, offering young athletes the chance to compete at the highest level nationally.

“These initiatives reflect our commitment to building tennis from the grassroots by investing in coach education and creating more opportunities for young players to compete at the highest level,” said Love 40 representative Joe Siame.

He expressed gratitude to the ZTA, partners, sponsors, clubs, volunteers and parents for their support, while warmly inviting the public to attend and cheer on the country’s rising stars.

With its dual focus on developing coaches and nurturing junior talent, Love 40’s 2026 programme marks a significant step forward in shaping the future of Zambian tennis.
